About Covers 4 Lovers

Here is a masterfully curated and irresistibly fresh homage to the golden era of pop, reimagining timeless hits by Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Bee Gees, Burt Bacharach, Earth Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Leroy Anderson, and more. At the heart of the album is composer and pianist Mika Pohjola, whose inventive arrangements strike a captivating balance between reverence and reinvention.

Recorded in the iconic Studio 2 at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, this album radiates both polish and playfulness. The ensemble moves seamlessly between tightly grooving pop and fluid jazz improvisation, with lush strings and a lyrically expressive tenor saxophone adding depth and color throughout. Each track is a conversation—between decades, genres, and sensibilities—offering surprises even for those who know these songs by heart.

Covers 4 Lovers is not just a tribute; it’s a transformation. For connoisseurs of classic pop and devotees of genre-bending artistry alike, this recording is an essential addition to any serious music collection.

This is a newly remastered edition of the original album from 2025, featuring improved balance, enhanced clarity, and a more refined dynamic range. The remaster stays true to the spirit of the original while offering a cleaner, updated sound.

Recommended for both new listeners and longtime fans who want to experience the album in its best possible form.
